1 is synthetic
Yeah, but which one? 😉
@ number one 🙄
@@michaelbednall2610 I'm gonna give you a minute to realize
You got it!
How different is the regular Java from the Jumbo Java?
Player's name?
Jamal Brown!
@@vandorenusa Thank you.
I don't have friends 😮💨 Chat am I cooked?
Laisse moi tranquille 😂😂😂
❤❤
Well you certainly mastered the high notes. Trumpet player here, by the way. Also I love the way clarinets sound so great job
Thanks!
the way this goes from a high pitched sax to a voice deeper than the Mariana trench is insane
I had no idea this level of glissando was achievable on sax!
loll , i love that
Thank you 😁🎷👍
Love the ligature one!!!
This told me a lot, but I wish your demo included playing in the lower registers. It would only take a few seconds longer. This is a complaint I have on a lot of samples.
Thank you for the feedback, we will keep this in mind going forward.
Sonata for Clarinet and Piano Op. 120, No. 2: II. Allegro Appassionato
What about bari? Do you still lay it with the palm keys up?
Yes!
Thanks for the tips on Reed Care. How could someone not remove their reed after playing? 🤢 That's a basic step u learn about when playing any Woodwind instrument 🤷🏾♂️
Final answer: Mouthpiece #1 - classical, Mouthpiece #2 - jazz!
I can recognize the signature brass band around the V16.
Yeah, 2nd one sounds much more brighter.
This all presumes, of course, that the player knows how to voice that register. All are good fingerings - but kids, don't expect them to do all the work for you!
So true, love this comment. It takes lots of consistent practice!
The saxophone......Easiest to learn, hardest to master. The instrument is so flexible in terms of possible sounds, it takes years to master all the variables that go into sound production. Here are some of the variables that need to be explored by aspiring players: 1. Embochure 2. "Voicing" (tongue position--high/low, forward/back) 3. Amount of reed in mouth 4. Strength of reed 5. Cut of reed (brand, style) 6. Placement of reed in relationship to the tip of mouthpiece 7. Mouthpiece! (baffle shape, tip opening, chamber shape, facing) 8. Ligature (type, placement) 8. Air support It is no wonder that players get wildly different results. Take the time to explore and master each of these variables if you want to progress as a player. Take lessons from an experienced player who can help you to address each of these ares.
Jazz 2, pero me gusta más el sonido de la 1.
Right... I like darker sounds
What's the name of the song ? I have already heard that but I don't know the name
Charlie Parker, Billie Bounce or I don't know
The second is the jazz one, but the classic one has a nice and centered sou d that i wasn't expected....Selmer did a good job on both
This is Vandoren's channel, not Selmer's.
@rloomis3 My bad I'm so familiar with selmer i get the mark wrong but the comments is still the same
I'm surprised anyone would be unsure as to the answer even for a second. (Of course, if one is familiar with the Vandoren lines, it's also easy to tell by zooming in that the first one is from the Optimum series [i.e. classical], and the second is from the V16 line [i.e. jazz].)
@@rloomis3 You're right to be surprised; I was the first to comment and I don't even play sax, or know anyone who does. I based my answer off of what I hear being a jazz DJ for less than a year and having been a casual listener before that.
@@noracola5285 Glad to know that someone engaged with showcasing the music has good ears. (Of course, if you like jazz, that alone probably indicates you have good ears. :) )
One sounds a little cleaner? I think one is classical
I'm going with #2. Jazz mouthpieces are traditionally pretty bright.
Those are contrabass clarinet reeds I presume?
Nah, just typical clarinet reeds, contrabass is probably 3x the size of those
#2 sounds brighter, I'm gonna say that's the jazz one.
What if my key is bent from falling a few times an I don't use the grease??
If your key is bent then get it fixed, don’t just keep it bent 😭
That was good 🎉
Interesting about Phil Woods
them some big 'ol reeds
Can’t abandon my Java greens and Boston sax shop black labels
And the clarinet is under a school program
NO WAY MOLLY ON THE SHORE
Fantastic. Cheers mucker
Thats very helpful! Also, cool neck-strap man.
Mama made me mash my M&Ms oh my
Ahhh... so that's what's going on. And I thought my emboucher was getting stronger!! Thanks
DID NOT HELP,SORRY.IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOURS AND MINE??
What a great riff!
Now what if i don't have cork Grease
Buy it
Buy some or you’re gonna spend more on new corks
I don't recognize this gentleman. Can you tell us who he is?
I hear more colors with the regular version, but I like the way the high notes aren't as bright with the HD.
Thank you for the video comparison. I hear more core and depth to the sound with the HD
Makes sense, most people don’t remember every specification when trying mouthpieces, but they probably remember how each mouthpiece feels.
What is the purpose? What am i trying to achieve. ?
An off beat rhythm core to jazz
